The Firm

Entrepreneurs first. Investors second.

Ritner Street Capital is led by principals with experience building businesses, leading teams, and executing transactions. Their careers before RSC inform, but are distinct from, the firm’s own investing and advisory activity.

Michael Cenisio

Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Business Acquisition Experience

Michael co-founded Ritner Street Capital and leads the firm’s investment activity across operating companies and real estate. He has executed transactions across healthcare services, veterinary, dental, financial technology, and transportation, and brings a hands-on approach to evaluating investments.

Prior to RSC, he was Manager of Business Development and M&A at Community Veterinary Partners, where he supported acquisition-led growth ahead of a sale to OMERS Private Equity. He then served as Vice President of Business Development and M&A at Specialty Dental Brands, leading acquisitions ahead of a recapitalization, and most recently as Head of Business Development and M&A at ReFocus Eye Health.

He began his career in investment banking at Morgan Partners and Herron & Associates, working on business transactions. He holds a degree from Salve Regina University, where he captained the men’s ice hockey team, and is bilingual in Italian and English.

John Grossi

Partner & Chief Operating Officer

Legal and Transaction Experience

John leads operations, transaction execution, and the firm’s advisory practice. He is a corporate attorney turned operator, known for translating legal complexity into practical, plain-English guidance for business owners at the most consequential moment of their careers.

He began at a nationally recognized corporate law firm representing institutional investors in securities fraud and corporate misconduct proceedings against companies including Citi, Facebook, Tesla, Lehman Brothers, and Bank of America, working on shareholder recovery proceedings. He subsequently led the acquisitions team at an institutional REIT backed by a major private equity firm, sourcing, structuring, and executing net lease acquisitions across the United States.

John earned his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University Delaware School of Law and a B.A. in Business Management and Communication from Curry College. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Hands-on Ownership

We invest. We advise. We operate.

RSC’s own acquisitions include multiple healthcare platforms and family-owned HVAC and refrigeration companies. In prior roles, our principals worked on the sell side of transactions representing Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and businesses at every stage of the business lifecycle, and their earlier roles at acquisition organizations and investment firms provide additional experience. Those prior roles are distinct from a record of RSC ownership.
